The Gold Hunter

The night was slowly falling on us, I felt that overwhelming feeling of wanting all this to end once and for all. And I didn't like that, I wasn't backing down. The wolves began to stalk. There were at least twenty of them, good sized, with yellow eyes because they had night vision. My eyes were used to the night, I could see them without any problem. I took a breath, feet on the ground and then, closed my eyes trying to return to my faith.

"She waits for me."

I thought, a thought that seemed simple. Each of those words gave me a big breath of air, as if I had no oxygen and thinking about her gave it back to me. Maybe it was the true love I refused for so long. Although, I wanted to forget her, I knew that behind this damned city she wouldn't remember me, wouldn't love me, that it would hurt me more than anything. I knew that the Omegas had to die in the end and it didn't move me as many fibers as I expected, maybe my heart was already dead and frozen.
