Someone kicked me, and I opened my eyes, and it fell on the young girl. She sat down in a bag, and I didn’t know what could be inside it. She moved her face off my path when she met mine. What the hell could be going on in that mind of hers?

I used my hand to wipe my face, wondering how long she watched me sleep. I snapped around the room, and my gaze fell on the clay pot that contained the herbal mixture the old woman had given me before I slept. It then became crystal clear to me that I had slept immediately after she gave me those concoctions.

I glared at her, and she swiftly tilted her eyes towards the calabash that was kept close to the entrance. She sighed and stood up without saying a word to me. I wondered why she watched me sleep. That was quite unusual of her.

"Have this; your mother has instructed you to drink this herbal mixture. She said it was good for your babies." She stretched out her hands, placed it in my hand, and looked away.
