67. Tyler comes through

Athena's POV

I felt a hand tug at me, then I opened my eyes immediately.

We crawled under a dark counter, as we managed to manipulate our way out of the fidgety crowd.

"Where are they?" the voice roared behind while the unknown person ahead whispered urgently,

"Hurry."

I winced as a sharp tiny glass pierced my palm when I crawled my way out.

We approached a backdoor and immediately he pulled it open and dragged me out forcefully,

"Run!" he yelled, as I heard marching footsteps rambling all around.

With the whole strength I could muster, I ran, my heart beating heavily, as I looked to both my right and left, expecting the worst to happen.

I heard the sound of heavy boots trailing behind me, I was too scared to steal a peep, flinging my whole body forward until Sue took over.

I dashed past the deserted path, hoping the foot step would cease until I heard a voice call out.

"We've lost them." It took me a while to realize I was not chased but accompanied.
