Author's POV.

Eva returned to her room after the pack meeting, she was still hugging the ceramic container to her chest and acting deranged.

She continued talking to the ashes like it was Alpha Trent, sometimes she would laugh and other times she would cry.

"Alpha Trent, why aren't you back from your trip?" her dull eyes filled with tears. Her lips were trembling as she formed them into a pout.

"Aiden said you would come back and you also promised me then why aren't you here?, tell me Alpha Trent" Eva said and whispered Alpha Trent's name.

"Alpha Trent" Eva whispered and tears trickled down her cheeks. She stood up from the floor where she was seated and went downstairs.

As she came down the stairs, she saw Elder Sawyer push Yolanda away from the door and make his way inside. Eva saw this and rushed down the stairs.
