Chapter 30 Birthday

"Katie!" A loud voice enter my system before I felt that I fall on the ground, but the ground is soft, my body fall also on a body.

"N-Nicko?" I was slowly finding my self because of the noise that enter my system few minutes ago.

"If you have problems solve it on your own. DO.NOT.MAKE.ME.A.CRIMINAL!" The man on the van said and left us on the street.

"What's wrong, Katie?" He asked and helped me to stand up.

"Why does it seems that I am the villain on Alex and Enrique's team up? They're not even together. Why me? I am not the person to blame here and if we're gonna blame a person, it's Alex. She ruined my relationship with Enrique for that fucking publicity!"

"Kate... Let's just go... There are a lot of people here." He gave me a mask and take me on his car.

"Why are you here? Are you following me?" I asked while he was starting his car.

"I know this cases on the showbiz people Katie, there are a lot of Actor and Actresses experiencing this and sometimes... Out of nowhere they're just going to cross the streets. Just like what you did earlier."

There was a mirror on the upper right side of his car and I looked on it. I saw my bare face, big eye bags, growing pimples and a pale lips.

"Are you even sleeping, Katie?" He held my face.

"Don't think about me, I'm okay." I forced a smile.

"Hey Katie, it's the reason why I am here. I am here for you, don't you get it? Definitely you're not okay, look at your self. So could you let me take care of you while you are still on the competition? This kind of environment isn't good for you." He said.

When I finally got into my condo, I get my phone and I saw there that I'm going to have 3 events on Friday, one is for birthday and the another 2 is a public event.

"Bring your glamteam." My manager texted me.

"But Sir Emman, I still don't have a team." I replied.

"Okay, we're gonna provide for you. We'll just sent you the location on Thursday night. Have a nice day." He replied back.

I was about to get inside my room but then I heard a sudden door bell. Argh! I was about to rest! But my Mom teaches me that no matter how tired I am when I heard there's someone on our door, I need to open it.

"What?!" I shouted but they popped the confetti.

"Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday Happy Birthday... Happy Birthday Katie."

All of them sung me a happy birthday song, I was disappointed of my self, I forgot my own birthday because of the busyness that I have. For Pete's sake! It's my 22nd birthday today!

"Happy Birthday, my best friend! Blow your candle and make a wish." Gabrielle said.

All of my friends are here. Yanna, Nicko, Jane, Chelsea, Enrique... And fuck! Did he just brought Alexandria here?

I blown my candle and I need to say my wish... Because it's their policy.

"I just wish that me, Chelsea, Jane, and Gabrielle will do better on the competition and best of luck to the both of us girls." I smiled while I was still looking on Alex.

"Happy 22nd Birthday, Katie. Here's my present for you." She smiled and gave me a small black box, it came from a jewelry shop. How I wanted to give it back to her but I don't want to be bitter this time. It's my birthday tho!

"Thank you for this lovely earings, Alex." I smiled and then welcomed them, they also brought foods, it's a total package.

"Uhm Katie? Where's your little one? Where is baby Kiko?" Gabrielle asked.

"Uh... He's on his vet, still on his vet's clinic, got confined for almost a week." I explained and later on Enrique set up the karaoke on my TV monitor. Only the two of us really knows how to set it up.

Nicko sat beside me and he held my hand and gave me a ring. It's so cute.



"Wow! Note and a Star. Thank you for this Nicko." I smiled and took a glance on it.

"There's a meaning why I gave you that and you'll know it soon." He came into my friends and sat with them.

It's so pretty, the first ring that a man gave to me, my heart is melting. And today is my 22nd birthday and I will made a promise to my self that after 9 years I'll marry the man whom I saw when I turned my eyes open.

And there, I saw a man straightly looking at me. If things will get better for us in that 9 years, I'll marry you.

"Katie, let's have lunch." Yanna called me so I came back.

"Uh... Guys I'm so sorry because I don't have a lot plates and other condiments here in the condo because I live alone... Hope you understand." I said.

"We understand, we even bought a paper plates and disposable spoon and fork. So that we could eat fast and after that we're going to watch movie." Gabrielle said and give me a food. I know that she knows that I feel awkward when I'm eating with many people. This is not the culture that I grew up to.

"Nicko, we are just together earlier. What happened? How could you come with them that fast?" I curiously asked.

"Oh they're waiting for me at the mall in front of this building. We planned this because we know that you are really busy." Nicko said and smiled.

When we were done eating Chelsea accidentally open the OTG cable of her phone and we heard a terrible news.

"Oh... I'm sorry for that... I'm so sorry Katie, Quen, and Alex." She said.

"Don't think about it, let's talk about that tomorrow. Now, were celebrating the birthday of our dearest friend, Katie. So can we all just shut up with that showbiz issue?" Quen said.

"And by the way here are your chips. It's home made and that was freshly baked by our Chef Jane." Yanna said and gave us a chips, covering me again Yanna huh?

"OMG! It's really yummy. What are the ingredients again, Jane?" Gabrielle asked too, Enrique looked at them and seems like he knows what are they doing.

"Happy Birthday, Katie!" He smiled at me.

"Thank you, Quen!" I replied and I looked away when Alex was trying to be clingy with him. Like what the fuck? They're flirting on my own condo? The Hell!

"I know that you're not okay. Can we go to your room?" Gabrielle and Yanna asked.

"Oh okay." I faked a smile.

"Okay, so we heard on Nicko what happened to you earlier. Why did you do that? Do you think that nobody loves you? We love you Katie. We love you." Yanna started it up.

"But it's not the love that I was searching for." I said.

"Yes, but can you talk with us if you're feeling empty or alone? Don't just go somewhere. It's dangerous here." Gabrielle also said.

"Oh! You are just like Mom! I'm so sick of it!"

I walked out.
