Chapter twenty eight.

Cassandra closed the door and stood against it for a few brief seconds, letting the conversation sink in. Jason loves me. She couldn't get those three words out of her head. It couldn't be true. But then what would explain Charles traveling to her house from – she wasn't even sure where the tour was right now. Cassandra hadn't felt this energized in days. She suddenly had a burst of happiness coarse through her body at the thought of Jason feeling the same way about her as she felt about him. She would have to call him right away! But how in the world was she going to explain to him that she didn't trust him the entire time? How is she going to tell him that not only had she thought that he had been with some random groupies, but had been with Skylar Belle? How stupid she had been to take a rag magazine's cover for face value. She should have known better! What a fool! When it came to Jason, all of Cassandra's common sense flew out the window!
