Emma froze on her feet as she met Winter's widened eyes. Her plan had been to run into the bathroom and emerge when Winter was gone, but she was apprehended on her way out of the kitchen.

“Winter.” She chuckled nervously. “How are you doing, love? Happy Sunday.”
