CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

"Ace?" I asked, knocking on the door of the study. It was already 9pm and I'd just gotten back a few minutes ago. Ava had told me that since we left, Ace hadn't come out of the study meaning he hadn't had his dinner. Which was why I was currently standing in front of his study door, holding a plate of salad.

"Come in," He answered. I pushed the door open and went in. Ace was hunched over his desk, looking over a couple of files. He raised his head up to look at me and that was when I noticed he was wearing glasses.

"Woah, Ace, I never knew you wore glasses," I said, placing the salad bowl on his desk and walking closer to him. I pulled the glasses off his face and brought them closer to my eyes.

"There are a lot of things you don't know about me, princess. When did you get back?" He asked, dragging me to sit on his lap.

"A few minutes ago," I answered as I put the glasses back on his face. I pulled back so I could enjoy the view. Men, no scratch that, Ace with glasses was
