"Excuse me?"

"Is that supposed to be a surprise? You were adopted, remember?" Salome reminded her.

Eventhough she was adopted, she had always seen Carter as her real father. The idea of having a father somewhere felt so strange to her.

But thinking about it, she was truly adopted. That implies that her parents are somewhere.

"How did you know where my real parents are?"

"Not just where they live. I know who they are. And how I wish you know how desperate they are to reconnect to you." Salome said.

But Octavia didn't believe Salome, she could be lying. "I can't help you, sorry."

Salome hummed thoughtfully, "Your dad is rich and powerful though. You life may become easier by reconnecting to him. Plus you've been denied true parental love ever since I came into the scene, don't you want that?"

Then she stood, "I'll let you think about it." She added, "and just so you know, you are my plan B. Even if you refuse, I'll still be able to crawl up my way into his arms."
