Garrett was dressed when I got home. Seems like he has been waiting for me. His eyes were looking angry. Garrett was not the type to wait. Cautiously I locked the door behind me.

‘where the hell have you been?’ He thundered.

‘I went to the hospital.’ I replied quietly.

‘I vividly recall telling you to come home early today. You don't just listen.’ He was pacing around with his hands on his waist.

‘I'm sorry.’ I mumbled not wanting to offend him any further.

‘You screened my call. You fucking screened my call. Where were you when you couldn't pick up your phone? Were you fucking him? Aren't I enough for you?’ He was coming closer to me, making me shift away. Soon I was resting my back on the door and his hands went up to the door caging me in. I shivered because of the cold. Wearing rain soaked clothes does that to you.

‘I'm sorry I didn't hear my phone ring.’ I reached for my bag searching for my phone. I tapped the screen. It came on. The time was 8:10, and I had a missed call from
