Chapter 29

The rain had started again. It was always raining. I stared blankly through glass walls. I don't hate the rain and I don’t like it either. I only hate the sogginess and cold it leaves behind.

The day started as any other normal work day. My co-workers do what they do best; gossiping yet pretending to work when their supervisors glance at their way or pass by.

I was getting bored. I had finished the paper work on my desk faster than I expected and it seems my boss had been avoiding me since our heated exchange in his office for reasons best known to him. He didn't send for me nor did he ask me to search for any files nor attend any meetings with him. He had asked for two days to come up with another solution that doesn't involve me working for his enemy. He barely came out of his office. In fact he comes before everyone and leaves after everyone. Or maybe he sleeps in the office, who knows? His blinds were always closed.

I walked to the kitchen to find snacks to nibble on and coffee
