It didn’t take me long to notice the shift in the atmosphere when they entered the clearing. Wherever they went, the rank of bleakness, treachery, and old cheese fallowed them.

There were only three titles on the Fox Council. These foxes earned their position through trickery, murder, and deceit. They were the best of the worst.

I knew they would come, but I didn’t expect it so soon. Right when I was getting a good sleep too.

I thought I hated them before, now I was down right livid.

I had slipped into jeans and a tank top, my scars clearly visible. A reminder to the Foxes of what they had put me through, and what I was capable of.

I lounged on top of the railing on Cassar’s balcony. One leg stretched on the thin bar, while the other draped off the side. Waiting for the perfect time to make my presence known.
