Chapter 25

Anne's wedding party continued into the night. The atmosphere was different here, too, as dance music led the guests to the dance floor. I saw the couples start to dance together. I could see how romantic the atmosphere was.

I also saw Anne enjoying her dance with her husband. They looked so intimate and were enjoying the music. Not everyone was on the dance floor, like me and Thane. We were still sitting where we had been since we got there.

Suddenly, Anne pulled me and whispered, "Hey, will you let that guy sit there? You didn't hear the music, so it's perfect for dancing together."

I felt embarrassed when Anne said that because she didn't know what happened to me. Of course, she would refuse if I asked him to dance. Looking at his face, I was afraid to offer myself and ask him to dance together.
