Chaptr 24

I was surprised by Thane's presence in the car. My body was still standing frozen in front of the door, while Thane himself was looking at me with a tilt of his head. My eyes blinked a few times, and I tried to realize what I saw now.

"Thane?" At the mention of his name, Thane looked back at me.

"Come in, or do you want to keep standing there?" Thane asked me, who was still frozen in my current position.

"Why are you here? Didn't you have work this morning?" Instead of answering, I asked Thane back.

There was something strange here. For some reason, I felt that Thane wasn't letting me go.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm here to go with you." Thane's words made me even more confused.

I remembered once, didn't I say yesterday that I would go to Anne's wedding? I didn't intend to take Thane along. This was strange, really strange.

"Then what about your work, Thane? Actually, are you going to come along or just drive me? Don't confuse me!" I said, making it clear what Thane wanted to do precisely.
