[Thane's POV]

Elinor seemed confused by my explanation of my mate and who I was. She was still unmoved and did not respond excessively. It's just that, several times, Elinor was seen shaking her head, dismissing what was in her own mind.

Her face looked so cute. She was like a child who was curious about something. However, when she got an answer, she dismissed it with childish thinking. I almost couldn't help but laugh at her.

When our gazes met, Elinor wanted to confirm my words by trying to squint her eyes. I smiled, and then she said, "No, it's impossible!"

She really showed her disbelief in my words.

"What's wrong, dear? Do you have something to ask me?" I asked, trying to get her to talk instead of thinking about it all silently.

I'd rather see her talk a lot with her heart beating fast. It was a sign that Elinor was excited or in disbelief.
