Chapter 19 : An Unexpected Visitor

It had only been six days, but I was starting to f*cking lose it. Jaxon hardly let me out of my bed except for meals, insisting it was better to 'preserve my strength.' I wanted to punch him every time he repeated bullsh*t the doctor had said. Except for a slight pain in my ribs and a headache at night, I felt fine. I wanted to get out and back to work.

While having lunch on one of my allotted visits to the kitchen, one of Jaxon's staff came in to inform me I had a visitor.

"A visitor?" I wanted to ask who the hell would be visiting me and know to visit me here, but I just asked the staff to show in my 'guest.' I prepared myself for the worst. I quickly shoved the rest of my sandwich in my mouth and dusted the crumbs off my hands.
