"Welcome to your new married life Ezra." She said before wiping a tear off her eye."Thank you." Ezra mumbled quietly. She then motioned over to me."And please, welcome to our family." She said gesturing towards me.Once she had finished saying that all of the guests standing along the walls started clapping politely. Ezra's mom then walked back down towards the front. Once we were seated again the judge opened the envelope holding the rings inside. Once he was done he took one of the rings out and put it carefully in Ezra's palm. After taking our place on the stage the judge continued."If I may. Before we proceed I must remind you that we will be performing our vows shortly. However since we haven't decided which ones we shall be reciting at the ceremony we decided to give each of you your own personal words to use during our wedding ceremony." Everyone in the crowd gasped softly. After being silent for a while the judge cleared his throat and continued his speech."We would like
"Do you both swear to uphold the same sacred traditions as your parents did." He asked.Ezra then responded that he did."Then I pronounce you husband and wife." He said smiling. As soon as he said those words the crowd broke out into applause. They cheered and whistled as they did so. The sound of clapping echoed throughout the church as Ezra and I slowly made our way down the aisle. Once we were at the end of the aisle we made our way to where we were supposed to wait. Right as we neared the door we saw the crowd parting for us. When we reached the door someone helped Ezra out of the chair before leading him back towards where I was standing."That went very well." I said laughing."Yeah, I guess." He said with a slight laugh.A few minutes later I could hear the judge shouting out Ezra's name."Ezra Salvatore!"The crowd cheered even louder as Ezra made his way back towards the podium. Everyone else followed suit, except for some of the women. After Ezra had returned to his chai
When I came down the stairs I found that Ezra wasn't already awake. I assumed that he had probably been busy doing whatever it was that he does when he's in the courtroom. I grabbed a plate and began to fill it up with eggs and bacon. After eating I placed the empty plate into the sink and washed it before putting it in the dishwasher. While cleaning everything up I continued thinking about the things that I had to do today. I knew that I would have plenty of time for them today since we would be spending most of the day in the courtroom. Besides I also knew that I'd be able to relax today since there was nothing that I had to worry about because there was no trial scheduled for today. In fact there hadn't been any trials scheduled for the past three days. Ezra has taken it upon himself to ensure that all the lawyers are prepared for the next trial. Of course he wanted to make sure that he was prepared for the worst case scenario. I understood that he did this because he loved hi
"That sounds wonderful. And besides who knows? Maybe someday we will end up having our own child. Although I have to admit that I would rather adopt than be a mother someday." I responded."Me too." Ezra replied. "I want our child to be happy and loved the same way we both were when we were young. It will make me so happy to have a new family member to look after. Someone to play with when we're sick, someone to spoil when we're old and grow old together."I smiled brightly at his words."Just remember that you have me and I am here for you always." I said hugging him tightly."Thank you." He replied as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head.Once he had pulled away from the hug Ezra picked up the bags of groceries and began walking to the front door. After saying goodbye to him I locked the door before following him outside. The sun shined brightly overhead as we made our way over to the driveway to start the car. A few seconds later Ezra backed out of the dri
I threw the grocery bags on the ground and then flopped down onto the couch. Ezra walked into the kitchen and came back with a glass of water for me. After drinking some of the water he joined me on the couch. As he sat down next to me I leaned against his shoulder and snuggled deeper into his embrace."Come on Ezra." I said as I stretched my legs and opened my eyes. "Let's go to bed."After a short while we eventually got back to our room. I took a shower and changed out of my clothes. When I emerged from the bathroom dressed in a pair of pajama pants and my favorite t-shirt I noticed that Ezra was asleep on the bed with his eyes closed. I carefully crawled under the covers and laid myself next to him. As I settled down beside him Ezra rolled over so that he was facing me and wrapped his arms around me securely. Within a matter of seconds he was already fast asleep. I smiled widely as I gazed at his sleeping face. I really hoped that one day we could make this dream come true.
The problem was that fixing things seemed like a lot more work than it actually was. So far all I've managed to do was annoy Ezra and embarrass him. I guess it wasn't all that bad though. Maybe Ezra didn't hate me and he was still waiting for me to apologize and ask him to be my boyfriend again. Although I didn't think that I would ever be brave enough to ask him that again. I know I promised Ezra that I'd get him back and I'd take responsibility for what I've done but what happens after I finally take care of it? How long does it take? Will he ever forgive me? What happens if he rejects me again? I don't know what I would do if I lost him for good.I jumped when I felt someone tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Ezra with a confused look on his face."What do you thinking about?" He asked."Nothing." I mumbled embarrassed. "Just zoning out.""Do you mind if we go somewhere tomorrow?" Ezra asked. "You said you wanted to do some work.""Yeah, of course." I said quietly. "Su
Everything seemed to stress him out so much. It probably wasn't fair for me to assume that everything would magically be okay the second that we got married. After all we were still living together in a house full of memories. And no matter how many times I told myself that I was being selfish I still couldn't stop myself from worrying about Ezra."Um excuse me miss." I heard a lady call from behind me.I turned around to find her standing next to me holding a basket filled with clothes."Can I help you?" I asked politely."Yes. My husband is currently getting changed and I want to try on some of these outfits while he does so. Would you be able to assist me with that?"I nodded and followed the lady inside of the shop. I stood off to the side and waited patiently as she tried to pick out some of the nicer dresses for herself to wear. I felt a little guilty just standing there watching her try on the dresses. This wasn't exactly what we had planned but it was the least that I could
"Then why don't you trust that I'll be able to tell you when something is wrong? What is Ezra gonna do? Just tell me to get better and then pretend like he doesn't care." I added."Well..." Ezra said as he scratched the back of his neck. "...maybe I will tell you.""That was a terrible answer Ezra. If you tell me I'll feel better." I said. "And it would be best if I could have a real answer from someone else besides you. Please Ezra? That's important to me."Ezra didn't say anything to that for a few seconds before he let out a big sigh and placed the book that he was holding onto the table."Fine." He agreed reluctantly."So what's going on?" I asked him."Okay... so I may or may not have a problem with you lying to me." Ezra admitted."Oh, come on Ezra that's not true!" I said."Yeah it is! How long are you planning on keeping this from me?" He asked me angrily."I promise I'm not lying to you." I lied."How could I possibly believe you?" Ezra scoffed. "You can never hide anything
