Appalled, I watched as Adonis's lifeless body lay on the floor, making my heart race. I got up and stumbled over to where he was lying. I whispered his name, "Adonis," as I shook his body. His silence made my heart jump out of my chest in a sad way. What's going on is that we're taking turns in a world where nothing makes sense.

I was calm and told myself, "There's nothing wrong, mate." It has nothing to do with how lucky or unlucky I am. I need to stop freaking out when things go wrong like this.
