I stared blankly at the garden, missing the sun's golden color bringing color to my surroundings as it rose in the sky. The truth? I didn’t know why I was here, but after making love with Red many times, I took the opportunity to hide here when Liam called because of an urgent issue. He assured me it was not related to work but something private that needed to be addressed immediately. Whatever it was, it must be serious because he had missed breakfast and was still in his office.

“Aren’t you going to answer that?” Red asked, startling me. He chuckled, took my phone, and sat beside me. “This could be important, Aya.”
