KATE slowly opened her eyes the following day, and she could not help but smile at the sight that greeted her. Unlike those days, Jan was still lying beside her, with an arm around her waist. He was still asleep. Kate did not know that watching him breathe peacefully would mean so much to her.
She brought her hand to his cheek and gently caressed it. He would take more time to fully open his heart for her, but Kate was more than willing to wait. She then lightly trailed her fingers from the bridge of his nose down to his cherry-colored lips. Kate saw his lips move, and it was so tempting. So, she crossed their distance and kissed him.
Jan kissed her back, deep, rough, and then slowly. Damn, he was such a tease. And then the realization hit her.
“You’re awake!” she moved away and punched his chest.
He chuckled softly. “Yes.”
Jan pulled her close to him and sucked one nipple. His leg then moved and parted her legs. Now h
THE manager welcomed Jan and Kate when they arrived in the restaurant. “Good afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Villamar,” the woman smiled at them. “Let me escort you to your reservation.” She gestured in the hallway. “Thanks.” Jan nodded his head and turned to her. “Let’s go, Katherine. He palmed her back and guided her along the way. She was surprised to learn that her husband had reserved a private dining hall for their lunch. “This is unnecessary, Jan,” Kate muttered as they walked towards the table. He pulled a chair for her. “Consider this as our first date,” Jan said with a grin as he sat on the chair across hers. Kate tried to calm herself when she felt her stomach flutter. Did he just say that they were on a date? “Excuse me, Sir, Ma’am,” the manager chimed in. “I will have your meal served in fifteen minutes,” she informed them before going out of the dining hall. She put her hands above her lap and rubb
JAN watched and listened to the presentation inside the conference room with a hand propped on the side of his head. He knew he should be absorbing everything, but nothing registered in his mind. Whatever comes into the right ear goes out to the left. Why? Simple because he was dying to talk to his brother about the favor he wanted him to do for his wife.“What can you say about it, Jan?”His father’s voice pulled him out of his reverie.“Hmm? What did you say again, Dad?” Jan sat up straight and fixed his coat.“I said, what can you say about the proposal.” Alejandro Villamar Sr. shook his head.“It’s, uhm… I think it’s great.” He scratched his jaw. “I just want a little revision with the hotel’s parking and the rooftop garden.”The architects nodded their heads.“And uhm, please send a copy of the presentation to my secretary.” He
KATE woke up with a heavy head that morning. Maybe because she stayed up late last night finishing her schoolwork. They would go out to play golf with Jan’s friends, so there would be no time left for her to do it later that day. Jan was no longer beside her that morning, and when she went to the bathroom, it was empty. Ah, perhaps he had gone downstairs for breakfast. She washed and fixed herself. And when she got out of the bathroom, she saw her husband’s assistant inside the room.“O-oh. Hi, Rose,” she greeted shyly as she fixed her messy hair with her fingers.“I’m sorry if I barged in. I knocked on your door, but it seemed that you didn’t hear it inside the bathroom,” Rose explained.“Oh, yeah. Uhm… the water’s running.” Her gaze reverted to the clothes hanging on the rack.“Ah. Sir Jan told me that you’ll be playing golf. You can choose from these brands what
SHE heaved a deep sigh when the car pulled in inside the garage. Jan got off first and opened the door for her.“Thanks,” Kate said as she got off from the passenger ‘seat. She slowly sauntered to the door, and he followed her.“Katherine.” Jan heaved a sigh.“Yes?” She turned to face him.She was surprised when he suddenly hugged her tightly.“J-Jan… you’re squeezing me,” she said.“Oh. I’m so sorry.” He loosened his arms around her and slowly freed her.“I think you should give your friends a call.” She held his hands. “They’re definitely wondering where we are now.”“Oh. Yeah.” Jan fished his phone.”“I’ll head inside first and see if there’s something to eat,” she said before heading inside the house.Nana Talia was going down the staircase when she
JAN knew that he would take her home the moment he saw Katherine. But after that scene he saw a while ago, he could no longer hold back. He was on fire. So, he took her upstairs and brought her inside the nearest room that he saw. He just hoped that her friend would not mind that.“Jan… a-are you sure we’re doing it here?” she asked breathily when his lips went down to her neck.“I’m sorry, Katherine. But I can no longer wait until we’re home,” Jan said. He slid his hand inside her pajama bottoms and palmed her.“Oh, God…” she whispered when his fingers started to move.Katherine flinched and writhed as he continued his assault down there. And the more he heard her moan and gasp for air made him even more aroused. Her skin was so soft; every inch of it that he kissed made him feel wonderful on the inside. And just with that, Jan knew he would leak anytime soon.“J-Jan…
JAN’s father was standing by the foyer when they arrived at the mansion. Beside him was his brother Fernan, who immediately waved his hand to them the moment they stepped inside.“Katherine,” the older Alejandro greeted her with a welcoming tone. “At last, we met.”She smiled and sauntered towards Jan’s father when he spread his arms. He hugged her quickly and turned to his wife afterwards.“And now you’re back home.”Jan’s mother rolled her eyes and scowled at her husband.“Oh, Martina… please don’t show your attitude in front of your daughter-in-law.” He turned in her direction again and smiled apologetically. “I’m sorry, Katherine. This isn’t the scene I have in mind about our first meeting.Kate chuckled. “It’s fine, Sir. I—”“Sir?” Jan’s father’s brows furrowed.“Oh&he
WHEN Kate returned to the bedroom, Jan did not join her. She waited for him until dawn, but no Jan came in. She could not understand his sudden change of mood. She changed into the dress his mother had given her last night and came down for breakfast. Fernan was the only one on the table when she arrived in the living room. Kate cleared her throat to get his attention.Fernan put the tablet down and smiled at her.“Good morning, Katherine.” He gestured on the chair across his seat. “Have a seat and join me for breakfast.”She sauntered towards the chair and settled there. Scratching the side of her neck, she looked around.“Where’s everyone, by the way?” Kate picked a slice of wheat bread and spread some cream cheese on it.“Mom left early for her yoga class. Didn’t Jan tell you that he and Dad were leaving early?”She bit her lower lip and shook her head. Fernan’s fore
KATE went inside the bathroom to get a wet towel that she would use to wipe Jan. But when she returned to the bed, she saw Jan sitting on the floor, puking. “Oh, God…” she muttered and rushed out of the room and called for help. Luisa immediately came, followed by Nana Talia. “What happened?” the two asked in unison. “I need help. Jan’s wasted,” Kate told them and turned in her husband’s direction as she heaved a deep sigh. “O-oh.” Nana Talia cupped her mouth. “I’ll go get something to clean the floor.” “Luisa, can you help me take him to the tub?” “Yes, of course.” They pulled Jan and almost dragged him to the tub. He was so wasted; he looked like a giant version of a baby who needed his mother’s helping hand to get a bath. “I can do it from here,” Kate told the maid after they successfully put her husband inside the tub. Luisa nodded her head and left the bathroom. She helped Nana Talia on cleaning the
