Chapter 43

JAN was preparing for their dinner with Isabela’s family that night. The same night, they would formally apologize to Isabela’s parents and ask for her hand in marriage. He was unsure how she would react with the news, as well as his brother and Winona. But Jan was hoping that everything would be fine. He swore to heaven that he had no bad intentions towards her. It was just that they were caught between their parents and other people’s misinterpretation of what happened. He was willing to take all the blame. If not for him, Isabela would not suffer that way.

He looked at himself once more before he strode in the direction of the door. And when he finally opened it, he saw his brother right outside his room.
