42- Persephone

Athena, goddess of wisdom, appeared now, her face in a deep scowl with an helmet and battle armour on her body. The spear suddenly disappeared out of Artemis' hands and materialized in hers as she stared daggers at Persephone. "Why did you stop it?"

"Because her death would have not been worth anything," Came Artemis' warm voice. The gaping hole in her hand had closed off and a bow and arrow was now in it. "Hades would have torn you apart and the war will still hold. There is no need for it, Sister."

Athena's head whipped back to Artemis. "I cannot believe that you left the temple just so you could come here and frolick with a mortal! The mortal that is to blame for what is happening to us!"

"She was not in control of anything and you know this. You cannot even stop it by ending her life."

"It was her birth that started it in the first place!"

Persephone at first heard Artemis call her name but it only registered some seconds later. "Athena?"

The goddess turned to her, gold eyes swarm
