Chapter fifty two

Emily's POV

The rest of the weekend goes by fast in a blur and luckily I manage to avoid seeing Tyler.

He's barely ever home and I only get to see him a few times in class where we exchange a few awkward glances.

By Tuesday, I'm already feeling horrible and desperate to end the silence between us. It has only just been a few days since our dispute but it feels like years.

I try to get him to talk to me a few times during the week but he ignores me the whole time.

In class, I sit next to Cole. Tyler walks in a few seconds later and sits directly behind me. I can feel his gaze piercing into my back the whole time and I find it difficult to concentrate.

By the time the class comes to an end, I look back to find his seat empty. He's gone. I quickly pack my things into my backpack and rush out of the class, ignoring Cole's voice calling after me as I go in search of Tyler but he's nowhere to be found.
