Chapter 76

April POV

Things moved fast and in a bit of a blur after I told Quinn that Meg was in the van. Gage who I had met briefly at Findhorn handed me a long T-shirt and asked me to back up so that his warriors could move Kyle to the van. Gage then went over and placed the cuffs that were in his hand on Kyle’s uncle. I had explained that Kyle wanted some answers from him. When we reached the clinic I stood feeling helpless as they loaded Kyle onto a stretcher and wheeled him inside. I followed the Doctor and nurses into the room that was set up. I explained to the Doctor what had happened how his wolf had been suppressed until a few months ago and today was the first time he had shifted. Only to be shot a minute or so later. I wasn’t allowed to stay in the room while they tended to Kyle’s wound. One of the nurses suggested that I go shower and eat then come back. As I exited Kyle’s room I could hear Quinn snapping at someone. “She is my mate damn it.”
