“Is the place we’re going still far away?” I asked Robert.

With his eyes straight ahead and his hands controlling the steering wheel, Robert answered calmly, “No, we’ll be there soon.”

“My brother and I were not far apart. But why did he disappear for twenty years?”

“Because your brother lost his memory and is blind. If he was in good health or only slightly injured, he would most likely be able to return home because your brother is a smart boy. Your father was very proud of him and had high hopes for him. Therefore, when your brother disappeared, and the police lost track of him, your father was depressed, as was your mother. What we need to find out now is who ordered the group of criminals to kidnap your brother and what was their purpose. It’s still a mystery and very difficult to unravel because the police and I lost track of the kidnappers,” Robert replied.
