Jessamine and Thaddeus stood on either side of the hospital bed.

Thomas looked at both sides before making an announcement.

"I've decided to let Jessie join Holt Jewelry. She has a background in design, so let her work in the design department for now. Ted, make the arrangements," he declared.

Thaddeus paused for a few seconds before responding, "Grandpa, I'm afraid she won't be able to cope with the intensity of the design department's work. Besides, she hasn't worked in this field for many years. She may have forgotten what she learned before."

Thomas grunted. "If she forgot, she can pick it up again. Jessie is a smart girl. With you helping her, she won't disappoint us."

"Grandpa, Holt Jewelry is not an ordinary business. You know my attitude toward employees. I won't show favoritism, and I can't tolerate employees with inadequate skills. Everyone in Holt Jewelry is an elite," Thaddeus responded.

"Dumbass, is Jessie any ordinary person? She's your wife!" shouted Thomas.
