After a few seconds, the phone was answered.

Without giving Amy a chance to speak, Thaddeus coldly warned her. "Amy, if you're calling to plead on Colin's behalf, don't even bother. Let's not risk ruining our friendship of over a decade for this matter.

"Colin had clearly crossed my bottom line, and I'm already being very lenient with him by just withdrawing my investment."

Amy slumped on the hospital bed, momentarily at a loss for words.
