Chapter Eight

"I miss mom" Elsie said as she leaned her head on my shoulder. She helped me clean my healing wound and we were in our room just staring at the world.

With no TV, and quarantined in a house with a bunch of strangers teaching you how to shoot guns and survive on deer and rabbits, trust me you'll stare at the wall at your leisure time.

"I miss her too El and I also miss dad" she shrugged as she fell on the bed.

" Whatever" she sighed

"You still hate the man?" I chuckled as I laid down beside her.

" We both know you hate him too"

"Well.... I don't make it so obvious "

"Well I'm sorry if his presence makes me want to puke"

"You're so dramatic " I laughed and she laughed with me.

"It's been so long since I've cracked a smile" she took a deep breath.

"I know right.... It's been so long" I looked at the ceiling damn... If we keep going like this we'll definitely loose our minds.

"Do you ever think of looking for a cell booth and contact mom?" Elise asked

"You know that's impossible "
