Chapter 33

Atasha's POV

I felt my body aching when the training ended. I cannot even take a step but I forced myself.

"Do you want me to carry you?" Conrad asked while we are walking in the hallway.

"I'm fine," I responded and continued walking but with every step, I felt pain surge in my whole body.

I heard Conrad let out a deep breath then without any warning he carried me in bridal style.

"Put me down," I said but he acted like he didn't hear me at all.

After a while, he stopped in front of his unit then pressed the code and after a few seconds the door opened.

Conrad continued carrying me to my room. He carefully laid me on my bed and then looked at my face intently.

"Cold showers help numb the pain and reduce inflammation," he uttered which made me smile.

"You're a doctor now?" I asked teasing him.

"Learned by experience," he responded.

"How old are you when you started your training?" I asked without breaking off our gazes.
