I awoke it seemed much later to both Ellen and Bella snoring, I glanced between the two of them feeling an immense sense of guilt. How much had changed, how much pain and turmoil they had both had suffered through because of me. Ellen was right, I was stupid. Sighing I sat up surprised by the lack of pain. I inspected my body feeling an odd sense of dread seeing it back to its normal condition, not a single bruise left. How long had I slept for this time? I bit my lip as my mind raced with everything that had happened. I was stuck, stuck on how to feel about Clide. Ellen’s words bounced about my mind as memories of his harsh, almost cowardly nature reminded me that perhaps she was right. After all, how long had it taken me to see Xander for who he truly was? Was I really that naïve?

I stood, waited a moment for the old satisfying cracks of my bones, and a little hesitation after being unable to last time. But neither the sound of cracking bones nor that uneasiness
