If you don't fight for what you love, don't cry for what you loose.

Hello everyone! As mentioned previously, this is a free chapter in Victor's P.O.V :) Please remember these will be every 5th chapter.

Victors P.O.V

I stared blankly forwards as we walked out of the packhouse, fighting against my own self not to stay and protect her. My love, my mate. Dimitri was right, we needed to leave, but we really had to leave without her?

“Alpha, please.” Dimitri almost commanded as I stopped moving, staring back at Clide’s packhouse, arguing with myself to not run back in and take her with us.

“Alpha Victor. We need to go, you know she will be safe.”

I growled glaring at my Beta.

“And how can you of all people trust his word? Trust that she will not be harmed? Look at What Clide has done? Can you believe Herman?”

“Yes,” Dimitri responded without missing a beat, his eyes glued to mine.

I knew he wasn’t lying, he truly believed in the man.

“What is he?” I demanded as Dimitri stole a glance at our surroundings.

“Vampire.” He muttered before walking again, I followed suit until we reached the outskirts of Clide’s land.

“Alpha, I know how tough it is… to leave her… but she is in no condition to leave right now.”

“I could carry her!” I spat, my heartbreaking as I stared longingly towards the packhouse.

Dimitri let out a long hesitate sigh before continuing.

“Sir, her spine… it’s been served.”

I growled as my body shook violently, Clide.

“You should have let me kill him!”

“Sir. You know I couldn’t have.” Dimitri’s tone was impatient.

“Vivi?”Anya called out fearfully as she appeared in front of me, alone.

“Where is Bella?”

She had tears in her eyes as she glanced back, “she wanted to stay… said that someone needed to watch her… and Ellen…”

I felt a shared pain with my sister, pulling her in for a hug but changing my mind halfway.

“Alpha, Anya. I believe I located them” Dimitri spoke as if nothing had happened, it was starting to piss me off.

“Dimitri!” I growled as he looked at me with confusion. As if he didn’t understand my reaction.

“My mate, your Luna, is currently bedridden in enemy territory after you refused my vengeance… and now… you act as if nothing has happened?”

He frowned at me before shaking his head and speaking in his mother’s tongue, I hated when he did that.

“I told you, Dimitri! Not to speak in languages I do not understand!”

Dimitri sighed almost as if he was exhausted with me before speaking again.

“Alpha, you are the one that put me in charge of finding out just who knew of the Luna’s existence. It was you who told me that it was the most important thing to figure out why Ashly and Clide kept her hidden all these years, why her parents were here. I finally make headway, finally find out some information and you tell me that I’m acting as nothing has happened?”

I was honestly taken aback by his tirade, Anya giggling at the situation.

“So, with all due respect Alpha. I would much prefer to focus on something I can do, something you told me to do than something I can’t do anything about.”

“Why can’t we just bring her with us?” I growled out after a moment, frustrated with the situation.

Anya felt my pain, giving me a sympathetic smile before Dimitri let out all he had found.

“No, they know she’s here. They are waiting for the moment she steps out of Clide’s territory.” He took in a deep breath “everyone knows that she exists, vampires, all matter of shifters, even the hunters know.”

I glared at him at the mention of hunters, humans, and half-breeds without their wolf or another spirit animal that turned to killing our kind.

“From what I have found, the hunters are of no worry to us. They want what we want thankfully, but, the vampires are the problem.”

Anya frowned “which clan? Or all of them?” She butted in, Dimitri looked upset that she had but answered her question.

“All of the clans know, but the royal clan is trying to locate and take her. After all, her father managed to escape them. But they are not the real threat, no. It is as we feared.”

Anya and I shared a look, knowing now the clan he was about to utter…

“James…” Anya said quietly, her eyes wide with terror and panic.

“James.” Dimitri answered with a tinge of fear.

I gulped, fear that I had felt since that day returning. The man responsible for my parent’s deaths, for the torture I and Anya had to sub come to…

“He’s nearby, has been since the last full moon. I think he was hoping she would shift, run out of the territory line…”

“No. He was here, she mentioned that she had seen a vampire to Domini.” Anya whispered on the verge of hysterical crying, her eyes darting over the forestry as if expecting him to make an appearance.

“Oh. It’s more serious than first thought….” Dimitri trailed off, deep in thought before his face lit up and he let out a dark chuckle.

Anya and I shared a confused look before Dimitri smiled widely at us both.

“That’s why Herman is here, isn’t it? That’s why he insists on his secrets.”

“Beta… What…”

He shook his head at me before raising a finger to his lips, “not here, we need to go.”

“Dimitri, I am not leaving until I know she is safe.”

“Well, Alpha. In that case, please forgive me.”

He threw a tree at me, a f**king tree! I almost blacked out from the impact. I growled as I felt my body begin to shift before he threw another one at me, this one making me fall backward and the world starts spinning. F**king witches.

When I awoke, I was ready to tear him limb from limb. Not only had he harmed me, not only had he refused to allow me to kill that piece of s*it Clide but now? Now he purposefully kept me from my mate! But I was taken aback when I saw we were in the human world, the smells and noise almost too much for me. I tore out of the bed I was placed in, stalking over to the open window and slamming it shut. That managed to stop some of the ridiculous noise coming through, why did humans have to be so loud, live in such large numbers, and be so smelly? The room I was in was obviously a hotel, the previous tenants' smell stained the walls and floor. Whatever housekeeping serves these people had needed to be fired.

“Vivi?” Anya called out from the door, she must have heard me wake up.

I swung open the door looking for that coward Dimitri but he wasn’t there.

“Dimitri isn’t here, he went to visit his mother’s coven.”

She stepped into the room, not her happy bubbly self. She had almost a cloud of depression following her in, she made a ‘humph’ sound before throwing herself dramatically on my bed.

“Why?” I asked as she gave me an incredulous look.

“Why am I feeling this way?” She asked hopefully, I frowned at her.

“No… why did he go to his mother’s coven?”

She frowned at me before crossing her arms and pouting. I pinched the bridge of my nose while trying to fight the urge to roll my eyes.

“You are upset, obviously. I am too, but please. Focus.”

Anya sighed dramatically again, “Wow, you are such a good, caring brother!” her voice was laced in sarcasm, and this time I did roll my eyes.

“Fine, whatever. He said they could help. That they would know why Laura isn’t showing signs of either side.”

“Well, I’m pretty sure she’s getting vampiric powers…” I mumbled, Anya gave me a questioning look so I sighed pulling my shirt down so she could see the teeth marks on my neck.

“Ah. Why didn’t you tell me sooner!?” Anya exclaimed before throwing a pillow at me.

I rolled my eyes again, dodging the pillow.

“And when was the appropriate time to say that?”

She rolled her eyes back to me before giggling, a spark of happiness in her eyes before her sadness returned.

“If that’s true… why is she not showing any gifts? And why has her scent not changed?” Anya thought out loud, these were questions that had plagued me too.

“Dimitri should be back soon.” She said as if this was a good enough answer.

“Vivi, I’m scared for Bella…” She whispered before playing with the sheet on the bed. I sighed before sitting next to her.

“I know she said Clide would never hurt her… but… I mean he said he wouldn’t harm Laura… and he did… why did he snap like that? Ashly loved Laura…”

I felt my heart stop for a moment as I recalled what Herman had said… he had asked Clide what he had done… when he saw the late Luna Ashly…

“Anya…” I whispered, worry laced in my words “do you… do you think he killed her…”

She gave me a confused look “who killed her? You mean Ashly… wait…” She gasped in horror.

“You don’t mean?”

“Yes. I think I do.” I stood ready to run back to the packhouse, Anya close behind me.

Our combined fear pushing us to run much faster than we should have out the door and out the front of the dingy hotel.

“Victor! Anya! What a surprise!” A voice called out making us both stop dead in our tracks.

I was actually terrified to turn around, that voice… I could never forget that voice. Anya was hyperventilating next to me, her eyes bulging in fear. I gulped, forcing my fear down and masking my face to one of indifference as I turned, to see him. James.
