31. She Found A Mother

FLASHBACK

Even though I had my doubts, I don't know why but I felt like doing whatever Maa said.

I started preparations for cooking. I made the pudding and knowingly spoiled it. And then, at the breakfast table, I waited for Arhaan and his father to taste the pudding.

The moment they took a bite, they spit that pudding out immediately.

"What the hell is this?" Arhaan's father shouted.

"Who the heck puts salt in the pudding?" Arhaan roared, looking at me angrily.

I gulped and looked for Maa who was standing there silent. Tears found their way to my eyes and I wondered if it was Maa's ploy to make me suffer more or what?

"Arhaan! This girl doesn't even know how to cook. Haven't her parents taught her anything?" His father scoffed as he gave me a disgusting look.

"I had no idea about this dad. I thought she sat at home for two years, she should have learnt cooking," Arhaan's tone was equally frustrated.
