It feels so final being on the way to the airport. Atlas sits next to me his right leg bouncing up and down. “What’s with the leg, Man?”

“Nerves.”

“Nerves? What you nervous about, it’s just another team?”

“Who knows, but I am. I’ll try to stop it. I bet the airport will be packed out. Why our manager had to let the world know we’d be flying out today is beyond me.”

“Exactly.” I feel drained let alone broken hearted, I really hoped that I would see Imogen before I had to leave. It wasn’t to be, I left the flowers on her front door knowing she loves red roses, although tulips are her favorite, only the florist didn’t have any in and if I’d thought of it before, easily I could have found someone who did. I sigh.

“She’ll come round, just give her time. No doubt she feels shitty too. By the way her new sous chef started last week. He’s pretty good and has a Michelin star.” Atlas sounds impressed. It’s only cooking right? Why am I feeling intimidated and jealous of a chef. This i
