Black arrived home around 2 in the morning and he dismissed Tyson immediately. When he entered, he was expecting to see the house messed up and bottles of his favorite wine lying empty on the floor because that’s what Daphne does anytime she’s annoyed.

To his surprise, he met Daphne sleeping soundly on the bed. Black went to his study room first to return his bag and then back to the bedroom.

He joined Daphne in bed, his eyes fixated on her staring at her so deeply and worried. He raised his hand hoping to straighten the lines between her brows but he didn’t want to wake her up. Even though she’s sleeping so soundly, she seems to be thinking in her sleep.

Black pulled up the duvet cover on her body carefully and he switched off the side lamp.
