"What the hell does that even mean?" Emma furrowed her brows and tucked a carrot inside her mouth.

New students were attracting attention and if we gathered together, then the spotlight was on us and Lindsey would be infuriated. Spotlight meant a lot to me, as much as it was for her. And she would do anything to be in that position because she wanted people to feed her ego. I wasn't going to let her have it. Not when all my parents' eyes only focused on her.
