Dream within a dream

When Audrey tried opening her eyes again, the gray sky greeted her. Raindrops keeps pouring on her face as she lied on her back . Her body was facing the sky and is currently soaked with rainwater mixed with her own blood. But for some reason, she could not feel any pain; it was as though the blood around her was not hers in the first place. Nonetheless, a gasped escaped her lips when it dawned on her where she was actually lying. The pool of blood surrounding her convinced her that everything that transpired were for real.

“I though it was all but a dream. But how could it explain this?”

She mumbled underneath her breath as she tried to make sense of the situation. Little did she know that she was still inside the dreamland; she woke up from the previous dream only to find out in the end that she was still within another dream of her own.
