“Hello? Francesa?”

Tamara’s heart thundered. What should She do? Was Marco even aware Francesca had offered to help her?

“Hello? Francesca? Did you need anything?” Marco’s voice sounded again but before Tamara could make any decision, Francesca swept into the room and took her phone From Tamara.

“No, I’m good, thanks. I’ll text you later,” Francesca bade Marco goodbye and hung up the phone.

“Sorry about that. I didnt pick up intentionally,” Tamara apologised awkwardly.

Francesca seemed amused. “That’s fine, come. Let’s go celebrate,”

“You’re joking!” Francesca held her stomach as she laughed with abandon and rolled around the bed.

“No, I’m quite serious actually,” Tamara chuckled. “She totally fell for him and kissed him, that was the best day of herteenage life,”

“Your feud really does go back,” Francesca sobered up.

“Yeah,” Tamara sighed as she took a small sip from her glass. “It does, It's a feud as old as time, and one that eventually cost hersister’s life,”
