CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

~NORA~

I stood in front of my closet, trying to decide what to wear. All I wanted was to look my best for my stroll by the river, hoping that the beauty of nature and the sound of the water's waves would help clear my mind of all that's happened recently.

After much deliberation, I finally chose a beautiful floral dress and a pair of wedged shoes.

As I stood in front of the mirror, her reflection staring back at me, she took a deep breath and picked up her dress. It was a deep shade of purple that complimented my star cluster eyes, with a flowing skirt that brushed the floor. I slipped into it, adjusting the neckline and smoothing out any wrinkles that I didn't have.

I stepped outside, and the cool breeze and reflection of the sunlight hit my face, making my skin glitter. I raised my head high as I walked through the hallway. It was quiet, the sound of my footsteps was the only thing that broke the silence.
