chapter 47: Get drunk

~ Raven's POV~

“Are you okay?” Katie asked, coming up from behind her.

Raven rolled her eyes, “ yeah…” she replied.

She could see that Katie was not convinced with her answer. It was so clear that she wasn’t.

Who would be okay in her condition? She mused, looking at the table, at the front. She sighed for the umpteenth time that evening. Coming for the charity ball had been a mistake.

“ Raven?” Katie called her.

“ What” she snapped at her friend.

There was a brief moment when she feared that she had gone too far but Katie just shook her head and focused on the stage.

She sighed, checking her phone for the time. The MC was on stage, talking about school support and sapping the rich influential guests of every penny they had. She had to give it to the man, he fucking knew what he was doing.

Her gaze shifted to the table where Lumiére was sitting again. She couldn’t believe that she had fucking made out with the University President. How the fuck did she end up so careless.
