I practically raced downstairs to where Hazel stood, surrounded by the soldiers who weren't sure if she was a threat or not. But that didn't matter.

What mattered was that she was here, and she was herself again.

Her eyes met mine, and she tried to run to me, but the soldiers held her down.

"Let me go, I'm not a criminal!" She said struggling in their hold.

"Let her go." I commanded. The head soldier that also ushered me in eyed me, trying to gauge if he should obey me or not.

He made his choice, tightening his hold on Hazel.

"She is a criminal. And can not be let in unless a leader says so."

A groan almost left my lips until I saw Connor stroll down the stairs.

"Connor!" I called out to him, and he regarded me with an angry look. He still hated my guts and I hated him too.

"What do you want?" He asked, eyeing the situation. His eyes narrowed in realisation as they landed on Hazel and a smirk appeared on his lips.

"You need my help." He smirked, taunting
