For the next few days, my mother looked better than before. She had more life than she used to, and now she could smile, but the smile never for once reached her eyes.

She never fully recovered from the loss of my dad. He was in love with her as much as she was in love with him, and they lived for each other. She had no idea how to live for herself.

Issues like this makes me wonder why a part of me is seeing Seth as a good person. But he did this, he made my mother’s treatment more accessible, and now I wouldn't have to work in that clinic any longer.
