Chapter 43_ Heartbeats

The next morning Vanessa woke up with a bad throbbing headache which sent her regretting why she ever went to the club the previous night.

After she had managed to wake up, she noticed the man with a cold, yet handsome face glaring at her. Vanessa sat upright on the bed..

She had a little memory of what happened the previous night, it made her ashamed of herself. She knew that Manuel was angry at her. His whole face showed it.

"Here" he extended a mug of coffee to her. Knowing that she woke up with a hangover, coffee was the best remedy for it so he had the coffee prepared in advance.

Vanessa wanted to say something to him, she had to apologize for going to a club without telling him and making him worry about it. And she also got into trouble. He had yet again rescued her and Cia.

"Manuel.. I."

"There's absolutely nothing you have to say to me Vanessa. What the hell were you thinking?" He scolded her. She folded herself meekly on the bed as she watched him vent out his anger on her.
