Chapter 44_ Tricked

Cia soon realized that she shouldn't be touching Adrian, so she withdrew her hands from his bare chest. "I.. I'm sorry " she immediately apologized and wanted to turn away. Adrian grabbed her wrist quickly.

"Wait" he said briefly, and then a long silence followed. He didn't know the reason why he held her back, maybe he should have just let her go.

Adrian was dumbfounded. He then finally knew what to say and he asked. "Are you done with the treatment?"

That was the only thing that he could say. He then lowered his face shyly.

"I'm almost done." Cia stated. She continued with it and after she was done she left the room without saying even a word to him.

Adrian felt a bit guilty and he blamed himself for making Ciara uncomfortable around him. He just couldn't control how he felt about her.

He wrapped a jacket around himself and he stood up to put on some clothes so that he could resume working. Upon walking towards the wardrobe, he felt his mobile phone vibrate inside his pockets.
