Chapter 35

Darius blinked, thinking he heard me wrong but the direness on my face indicated it was not a joke.

“What?!” He whisper-yelled, jaw dropping in disbelief to perceive what to do now.

“Yes.” I nodded, hugging my sides, biting the inside of my cheek to think properly what to do to get out of this predicament.

“You got your mate, think about me, what am I supposed to tell anyone now?” I continued in a sorrowful voice.

My life would be ruined, how I was supposed to explain this hybrid to another human. I doubt I would be accepted.

“Athena, I.. I.. what should we do?” He asked vaguely.

Looking at me for a few seconds and then lowering his gaze from dismal, gritting his teeth, slamming his hand down.

My throat dried, for a moment, I grew desperate for something I shouldn’t and came closer. I sat in front of him and rested my hands over his laps.

He glanced at me with a hint of stress and I gathered my words expectantly.

“Why don’t you reject Blue and we could go back to the way things were.”
