‘Would you return for me?’

An unwanted thought rose in my heart and traveled a clench to my core. My frown deepened, groaning in pain as he truly broke a rib.

And it was hurting like hell.

“Hmph. Why would you?” I muttered under my breath after wrapping the bandage and applying ointment on my throbbing body.

“Argh…” I groaned in pain, not believing how powerful his one attack was.

“I yelled at him.” I sighed, picking my tray of food and eating it quietly.

“Then you deserved it. Besides, be grateful. If it was someone else, they wouldn’t be alive.” He chuckled, coming closer and sitting on the other side of the bed.
