63. Grief

“Shhh it’s ok Ro Ro, let’s get you taken care of,” I softly speak, making a bee line for our bed that thankfully still smells like Embry.

“How are you feeling?” Osric questions quietly, carefully crawling into bed next to me with Gunnar on his chest.

“I feel anxious having Embry’s scent around but not him,” I answer, while pulling Osric’s shirt off that I wore home from the pack hospital.

“He’ll be home before you know it, Jonathan won’t let anything happen to him,” Osric whispers, reaching up and gently brushes his hand across my jaw and cheek making me lean into his touch.

“What if Orin doesn’t make that possible and starts torturing them both?” I can’t help asking, knowing that if Orin finds out they’re both Osric’s mates it might as well be game over.

“They can handle Orin, don’t worry they’re safe and will make it home,” Osric reassures, pulling me into his arms after laying Gunnar in front of me. I slowly lay on my side trying not to wince at how sore my body is, then pull R
