Sixty- three

Eira’s POV

I looked up at the Vampire King and squinted my eyes at him. I can’t believe that he even ordered Esme to be brought here too.

“Your Majesty,” Esme greeted, giving a curt bow.

I glanced at her and saw that her eyes were now different from how it was when she left the courtyard. It now looked normal.

“Yes, explain what happened today in the Miraculous healer’s courtyard,” the Vampire King ordered, shifting his gaze at Esme.

Esme looked at Celeste and the other maids who were kneeling and she straightened her shoulders.

“Celeste asked me to do her portion of work but I was very thirsty. So, I told her I can’t and that I have to go and drink but she wouldn’t have that. We started arguing and then the miraculous healer heard us and came to settle it. She allowed me to go for lunch and also told me to take the day off,” Esme explained, bowing her head.
