“This is how we’re going to spend the rest of our lives?” My mother yelled beside me glancing at the guard that was holding onto us and leading us out of the pack. She probably thought she was whispering.

“Isn’t this better, than having us killed?” I spared her a dull look and looked away before my eyes settled in the crowd and saw him following us as we were headed to the borders.

“Stop staring at him.” She snapped at me, I averted my gaze from him immediately and fixed them on my mother.

“I told you not to get involved with him.” She hissed. “You are a princess, you won’t be mates to a lowly commoner.” She scrunched her face in disgust.

I bit my lower lip hard enough to draw some blood.

“I was a princess, have you forgotten so soon, that we are no longer recognized as royals? I rejected him as my mate because of you, When you found out about him and pushed me off to Logan, I had to play along. He refused to accept the rejection and was holding onto the bond. I be
