CHAPTER 41.

Reene

Each time I tried to pull my hands away, the iron cuffs tugged harder, impaling it. I whimpered, as a sharp pain tore through my body at my umpteenth try.

Beads of sweat covered my forehead, as the pain doubled. I was in the dungeon once more, awaiting my death. Everywhere was dark, and eerie. In the stillness of the night, the door creaked open, and I forced my head up, to see who the intruder was.

I scoffed when I saw who it was, and bowed my head to its original position.

"Oh oh, poor Amber. I came to pay you a visit." Gabe mocked, pausing right at my front.

A sudden fury tore through my body, and the urge to slap that arrogance out of his body mounted so bad. At the end, I heaved a sigh. I wouldn't fall into his trap, nor try to provoke him.

I had to keep calm, until Kaden came to rescue me.

"Where did your guts go? You seem scared," Gabe continued with his nonsensical rants.

"Why are you here? The Alpha said no one was allowed to visit." I ask
