Troubles with the council

I walked down the hallway that led to the meeting hall, my thoughts totally a mess. This was the first time I was meeting with the council members, alone.

Kaden wasn't around, as he had already left the pack three days ago.

At the thought, my hands curled into fists. I had wanted to accompany him so bad, but he had declined.

I soon got to the large door, and waited.The guards pushed the door open, and I walked in, flanked by two maids.

"You may leave," I nodded towards them. The door shut close, same time I began roaming my eyes over the members of the council. They watched me, curiousness written all over their faces.
